French Toast Casserole

Make the night before, Paula Deen recipe. Bring on the butter!
Ingredients
1 loaf French bread
8 eggs
2 cups half and half
1 cup milk
2 Tbl sugar
1 tsp vanilla
1/4 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp nutmeg
salt
Topping:
2 sticks butter
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup chopped pecans
2 Tbl corn syrup
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp nutmeg
Directions
Slice bread into 1" slices and arrange in buttered 9x13 pan in two rows, overlapping slices.
Combine eggs, half and half, milk, sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg and salt. Wisk.
Pour over slices, coating evenly. Cover with foil and refrigerate overnight.
Mix topping ingredients.
Preheat oven to 350. Spread topping over the top and in between slices.
Bake for 45 minutes. Serve with syrup.
