English Christmas Salad

I got this recipe from Celine.

Ingredients

Red leaf lettuce

2-3 pears, sliced

1 cup caramelized pecans   (1/4 cup sugar, 1 tsp each salt and pepper)

Dressing:

1/2 cup blue cheese crumbled 

2 Tbl balsamic vinegar

1/3 cup olive oil 

1 shallot, minced

Directions

Mix dressing ingredients and let sit for 1-2 hours at room temp.

Caramelize pecans in sauté pan on stovetop.

Place lettuce on plate and top with sliced pears and caramelized pecans.

Pour dressing over greens.
