Winning Hearts and Minds Cake

Recipe from Molly Wizenberg’s book “A Homemade Life”
Ingredients
7 oz (200 grams) good quality dark chocolate
7 oz unsalted butter, cut into 1/2" cubes
1 1/3 cup sugar
5 eggs
1 Tbl flour (can substitute gluten free flour)
Directions
Preheat oven to 375.
Butter an 8" round cake pan. Line with parchment paper and butter again.
Chop chocolate and melt with butter in microwave in 30 second increments until melted. Remove from microwave.
Stir in sugar, and cool several minutes. Add eggs one at a time, stirring well between each.
Add flour and stir until mixed and batter is glossy. Pour into prepared pan.
Bake for approximately 25 minutes until it jiggles slightly in center. Do not overbake.
Cool 10 minutes and remove from pan.
Serve with whipped cream, or a scoop of coffee or vanilla ice cream.
